Lisa is still having fever and headaches, but both are reasonably mild. Her frequent coughing is still sometimes severe. Today she'll have a chest x-ray, and a CT scan of the head, and then meet with either our regular medical oncologist, or his P.A. (physician's assistant).
UPDATE: No change in the chest x-ray from last week, which means that what they were seeing was not infection, but just common irritation and inflammation as a result of the radiation. The CT of the head and neck showed everything is normal, so the headaches aren't due to any direct visible problems there. Lisa has been given Imitrex for the next time she has migraine-like headaches to see if that helps. The antibiotic which may have produced the headaches as a bad side effect should be totally out of her system tomorrow.
Here at 5:30, she's gone to bed.
