Lisa CT scan basically shows stability since the previous CT scan from late November, as expected.  Lisa bloodwork also showed good numbers, which is another indication that the cancer is under control and not growing.

The doctor is giving Lisa another week off, and she'll restart chemo next week.  With Lisa's problems with the chemo, he said there are three options:  Keep with the same chemo but at a lower dose, change the schedule to two weeks on and two weeks off, or change to just Navelbine instead of the current Gemzar/Navelbine mix.

The doctor said that research has shown that the majority of the benefit of a chemo regimen occurs in the first four to six cycles, and Lisa has completed six cycles now of the Gemzar/Navelbine combination, so taking off the Gemzar element -- which is the one that causes most of the side effects -- is quite acceptable and of little risk.  We know Lisa did well on just Navelbine as a maintenance chemo when she was on it last year, so that's what we're planning to do.
