Another Doctor Day After All

The cough is worse, and Lisa is having a bit of chest pain at times... the thoracic specialist is working us in at 2pm today for chest xrays and an examination, instead of waiting until next week.

Update:  The chest xray shows no significant change, and definitely no fluid buildup or pneumonia.  The doctor doesn't think there's anything to worry about, though he said he would have expected that the cough would have been cleared up by now since his laser bronchoscopy surgery opened up two lung sections that the tumor had completely closed off, plus another one partially closed off.  He said as soon as he'd lasered out the two "plugs", lots of goop oozed out right away and the staff in the operating room were all marveling at now nasty it looked... getting rid of it was definitely a good thing.  Going in for another laser session for additional cleanup and suctioning may be appropriate at some time.  Regarding the sporadic pain that Lisa is having, it's possible that it's a result of the tumor reacting to the chemotherapy medications, which would be a good thing.  We'd like for that tumor to be very 'unhappy'. We'll just have to wait it out and see.
