Today's labs showed that Lisa's red cell count continues to decline, and though it's several points below normal, thankfully it's not yet near the "you need a blood transfusion" level.  To keep it from going that far, the oncologist says at some point she'll have to have a red cell production booster injection of Aranesp which would help utilize the iron she's already been given.  The doctor suggests she do it now, but also said it's ok if she'd prefer to wait a bit... and she does, especially after reading the usage-warning paperwork they provided.

Since she was getting regular chemo today and she's had such inflammation at the Ethyol injection sites, today she got her Ethyol via her infusion port.  We were told that the only likely side effect could be a drop in blood pressure, but she didn't have that problem at all.  After the radiation that followed, Lisa was really wiped out and went to bed after she got home, which is a bit unusual on "triple play day" since she gets steroids with the chemo.
