The visit to the neurologist this morning was very good.  After a thorough (!) examination, no neurological problems were found, including in the vagus nerve as previously supposed, nor the trigeminal nerve. What the doctor almost "stumbled upon" during the examination is that Lisa's head, face and ear pain seems to be caused by her temporomandibular joint (yes, that's "TMJ"). She's been prescribed a stronger anti-inflammatory, and a follow up visit with a dentist, for starters.
