Today we went to Lisa's mom's church, which is also the church Lisa was raised in, though now in a different location. She was greeted by a lot of friends who have been praying for her, and I think they were pleasantly surprised by how good Lisa looks. She's so much better than when she was receiving chemo and radiation, and also far enough past the biopsy surgery, that you wouldn't know she'd been so sick. Even her biopsy scar is only barely noticeable.
After church, we met for lunch with some extended family that drove in from several different cities to have an early celebration of Lisa's birthday. It was a wonderful time. Afterwards, she was quite tired and had to lie down as soon as we came back to her mom's house, but it was very special for her to be able to have had the opportunity to see so many friends from church in the morning, and then be with family in the afternoon.
