I usually take Lisa most places she needs to go and drop her off right in front of the destination, but this afternoon she decided to go out to the mall on her own and do some shopping. She found that walking is still very difficult and painful for her, and after visiting only one store she was even a bit concerned about being able to make it back to the car. This is a disappointment, since for a few days the leg seemed to be improving, and we had been told to expect it to be substantially better by now as a result of the radiation. It seems that it only feels somewhat better when she stays on more pain medication, but that's become a problem in itself because of her stomach pain and nausea issues.

I am going to look into getting a temporary permit that will allow Lisa to park in disability spaces until her hip and leg heal more.
