Lisa's CT scan report states, "There has been no detrimental change... the masses appear slightly smaller" compared to the scan five weeks ago. In the CT scan, there are a couple of "reference tumors" that they use for measurements. The larger of the two decreased by an approximated 49% in total mass, which is fantastic, with the next larger one being reduced by 38%.
Lisa will have another "round" of chemo (two weeks of treatment starting today, followed by one week off) and then we'll have the next PET scan, which is the most definitive as far as really seeing how the cancer is responding in all locations. The scan is currently scheduled for the morning of December 20 with getting the results from the doctor the following afternoon.
