For the first time I can recall, Lisa's pre-chemo blood tests showed that most of her counts did not improve during her week off from chemo.  She still got her chemo treatment today, but she will have to go back tomorrow and Friday for injections of Neupogen, a fast-acting white blood cell booster.  Though this will help boost her immune system, she is still mildly anemic and has other portions of her blood chemistry that need to be balanced. 

Chemo is scheduled again for next Tuesday, and then a PET/CT scan is scheduled for the following week (on Sept 3rd) to determine if this chemo is providing the reduction in cancer activity that we're hoping and praying for.
