Lisa woke up feeling better, and she sounds better too compared to recent days.
I'm taking her mom to church this morning (with my silenced cellphone in hand)... Lisa has to avoid crowds because of the chemo. Our church does webcasts as well, so Lisa isn't completely left out.
A shower late in the morning completely wore Lisa out. We still think it's the steam affecting her compromisd lung. She went back to bed for a bit, then did get up and ate some lunch. A little later we had a wonderful surprise: Lisa's longtime special friend, Pam, arrived at our doorstep. Today is Pam's birthday and she and her sister Jan had driven down from Kentucky just to visit with Lisa face-to-face. It was such an unexpected pleasure, and really gave Lisa quite a burst of energy. Pam prayed with Lisa before she and her sister went back on the road for the trip home. It was a sincere blessing.
