Lisa was running a fever of 101 degrees this morning, which is beyond the usual 100.3 limit that's considered chemo-related, so the oncologist believes she is fighting infection again.  This is a common issue with cancer patients, since chemotherapy impairs your immune system, and in Lisa's case, tumors or scar tissue from old tumors is blocking some of the passages in her lungs, and those closed off ("occluded") areas are chronically prone to infection.

Lisa had a chest x-ray to make sure there was no pneumonia or other obvious changes (it didn't show any new problems), and had blood drawn for cultures to be run.  Meanwhile, she was given an infusion of antibiotics, and will be getting home-care infusions for the the next 9 days.
